AIM
Professional accountants play key roles in a variety of public service organisations. These roles extend beyond the perceptions of an accountant. This workshop will focus on personal development of the individual, supported by evidence gathered from colleagues through a 360 feedback, alongside a self-assessment activity.
CONTENT
The content, which can be tailored to organisational needs, is principally focused on how professional accountants and public service professionals can drive sustainable organisational success, and draws on the fundamental principles reflected in the CIPFA Statement of Professional Practice.
1. The initial assessment stage involves gathering evidence from colleagues and completion of a self-assessment.
2. The second stage is the review of a personal report, which is presented in a development workshop. Participants are guided through their interpretation of the evidence.
3. The final stage is to use the support provided in a “safe” workshop environment, to develop an action plan for the participant’s next career steps.
