WELFARE REFORM Webinar - Thursday 9th February 2017 Three sessions starting at 11.00am, 2.00pm and 7.00pm This webinar considers the United Kingdom government's Welfare Reform programme including the Welfare Reform and Work Act and their implications for housing and local government. It will consider the different implications for England, Wales and Scotland. It is fully up to date with all developments. This webinar is designed for people who are not experts in the welfare system. It is suitable for housing accountants, councillors, housing association board members, housing managers, tenant representatives, finance staff and others who realise that an understanding of the Welfare Reform and Work Act can place them at an advantage. The webinar will answer the following question: And will consider: - Freeze on working age benefits
- Reduced housing benefit cap.
- Limits on support for young claimants
- Reduced tax credits
- Other aspects of welfare reform
There are three sessions of the webinar starting at 11.00am, 2.00pm and 6.30pm and lasting for between 1½ and 2 hours.
