YMCA is the World's largest Youth Charity, and two of the largest YMCAs in Europe are coming together to form a large and local association in London that seeks to offer value for money as well as opportunities to grow and develop throughout the city where YMCA was born.
With a turnover of over £17m, a strong asset base and an appetite to grow, the combined Association’s first critical appointment is a Group Finance Director (and Deputy CEO) to bring together the two finance functions and help shape and form the direction of the combined Association for the future. Your job will be to:
Work with the CEO in the leading on the merger of the two organisations bring the best from each operation to help create a high quality Association that can transform the lives of thousands of Londoners lead the financial integration and develop commercial awareness across the organisation build quality relationships with key stakeholders within all sectors maintain an overview of strategic risks and take account of opportunities that will mitigate risk be part of the senior strategy team overseeing performance and quality for the Board as we seek to realise our ambitions.
Commercial clout and the ability to innovate are essential, with a merger mind-set and experience of managing change. Experience of working with a board, and inspire and lead a team, will allow you to deliver great results.
Initially based in East London, the role will move to Surbiton in April 2017.
