In March 2014 Cumbria County Council went out to consultation on their draft procurement strategy for 2014 - 2018.
The procurement strategy sets out the ambition for Cumbria County Council's use of Procurement to impact positively on the economy and communities of Cumbria in recognising the social, economic and environmental benefits to be gained from taking a sophisticated, intelligent approach to their Procurement. The strategy also recognises the policy and financial challenges faced by local authorities and the wider public sector.
